Ian Finch
The Ultimate Chart Show is presented by Ian Finch who lives in Manchester, England and is a freelance TV sports director, working across the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games and the UK’s coverage of the NFL.
Ian Finch is a two-time BAFTA nominated multi-camera producer/director with over 20 years experience in the broadcasting industry.
He has directed studios and OBs at some of the world's greatest sporting events including the Olympic Games, World Cup, Super Bowl and the UEFA European Football Championships. Before choosing to go freelance, Ian was series producer of the BBC's iconic Match of the Day programme for 6 years, overseeing the show's move from London to Salford, its' 50th anniversary and recent visual transformation.
Ian is now a regular director for BT Sport's coverage of the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Premier League, the BBC's NFL coverage and major events such as the Paralympics, the Women's World Cup, Euro 2020 and the Tokyo Olympics.
Ian has a creative eye for detail, a great ear for music that compliments your output and is a key innovator using the very latest new technologies. In 2011 he successfully introduced augmented-reality to compliment the BBC's football output (both studio and OB) - a UK first and a recipient of a 'Best Broadcast Innovation' award at the Sports Technology Awards.
