Dark Vault Coffee
It is no secret that I’m a coffee lover. So when asked about making my own custom brew for the KCOR Digital Radio Network and the Dark Vault Insider it was a no brainer.
Throughout the process I was amazed at all that goes into creating “The Perfect” blend. From choosing not only the right beans, but the right mix can significantly change the taste. Add to that how the beans are roasted and for how long changes not only the flavor but greatly determines the body, acidity and after taste. Who knew!
The Dark Vault Coffee is now available to EVERYONE at this moment in time, so if you want a chance to try this unique blend created by Tina Marie Caouette just need to click on the banner above. the cost is only $16.95 per 16 oz bag plus shipping and handling. Currently this is only available to US Residents. If you are international and would like to purchase please send us an email at sales@kcorradio.com.
Dark Vault Tasting Notes
Well balanced, with some light citrus and herbaceous notes that are harmonized with brown sugar, walnut, and cocoa. It has complexity, but is not overwhelming. It has personality, but isn’t obnoxious. This is a pleasant, mild, and very easy to drink coffee – good for a drip machine at home or can also benefit from going through a French Press, Chemex, or Moka Pot.
About The Coffee Beans...
The coffee’s exclusive blend particulars are being kept locked away somewhere in a vault, buried deep below the Mojave Desert but for now here are the basics.
The blend is mix of three different type of beans, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Colombia Supremo, and Brazil Santos.
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, coffee comes from the so-called “cradle of coffee” as Ethiopia is considered one of the potential regions where coffee was originally discovered. The coffee plant is indigenous to this part of the world. It has a light to medium in body, with distinct herbal/floral aromas and a bit of berry/wine to its palate.
Colombia Supremo, coffee beans have long been part of the American coffee scene and have generally garnered a good reputation. Our Colombian Supremo coffee beans offers what people expect from this particular varietal: balance. You get a little bit of everything in this coffee - body, acidity, and flavor. This is a great everyday bean that always delivers. We used this particular bean to smooth out the edges of other varietals that tend to be a bit on the strong side.
Brazil Santos, is our third and final bean mixed into the blend to make the Dark Vault. Brazilian coffee is known for its smooth body and light acidity. Light coffees are traditionally consumed in the morning, and this coffee makes a great match for biscotti. It's also one of the most satisfying coffees to drink on its own, which is why it was added generously into mix to complete the Dark Vault.
I hope you enjoy this coffee each morning, or anytime you are listening to the KCOR Digital Radio Network. I truly enjoyed the process of creating this unique blend exclusively for the Dark Vault Insiders...Don't forget to get a KCOR Digital Radio Network mug, as I hear it makes the coffee experience even more enjoyable.
