Shelli Renee Joye, Ph.D.

Fascinated by science, Shelli built a HAM radio station at age fourteen, and during her last year of high school, she won the Northern VA Science Fair for constructing a working Linear Ion Accelerator. Entering Rice University on a physics scholarship, she became interested in electromagnetics and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, she worked with John Lilly on interspecies communication and pursued contemplative practice with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. She completed her doctorate in philosophy, cosmology, and consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is the author of several books, including Developing Supersensible Perception. After receiving an MA in Comparative Asian Philosophy, Shelli spent 20 years in Saudi Arabia before moving back to the United States. She resides in Viola, California, near Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park.
