Kimberly Brouillette
For 7 years, award-winning author Kimberly Brouillette has been known for her exciting multiple award-winning, paranormal mystery thrillers in The Monastery Murders series. The paranormal scenes in her suspenseful books are inspired by her personal experiences while living in an extremely haunted apartment for almost 3 years, as well as doing numerous paranormal investigations.
After a year of grieving the loss of her youngest daughter in October, 2018, Kimberly began writing her first major non-fiction project, "Lost in the Looking Glass: A Family’s Journey Through Schizophrenia & Suicide." This heart-wrenching story is inspired by the battles Kelsey faced during 4 1/2 years of having paranoid schizophrenia, plus the resulting suicide, only 3 days before her 19th birthday.
In order to promote mental health advocacy, "Lost in the Looking Glass" will focus on the major gaps in treating and aiding patients and their loved ones with the daily struggles of dealing with mental illness, as well as some suggestions to correct those issues. In addition, the final section will include many national organizations that provide helpful resources for these people in need, many of which are free. This timely book is scheduled for release late spring, 2020.
Kimberly earned her B.S. in earth science/geology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her M.A. in Biblical studies from Trinity Theological College & Seminary. She has been editor and contributing editor for numerous published books and has written many published articles for periodicals, especially for her primary job with Cabarrus Magazine. In addition, she has done guest interviews on numerous podcasts and blogs. Kimberly enjoys reading, music, history, traveling and spending time with her loved ones and furbabies, Thor and Luna.
